Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience — bedside RN experience preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills for LTAC and complex care
• Ability to supervise and delegate to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees — leadership and team collaboration
• Experience in long-term acute care, ventilator or trach care, or similar acute settings is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission — LTAC RN responsibilities
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly — strong clinical documentation skills
• Initiate and participate in patient teaching and discharge planning from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity and safety
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel (LPNs, CNAs, orientees)
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Participate in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment — collaborative healthcare team
• Identify opportunities for professional growth and pursue continuing education — career development for RNs
