• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1540/week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or similar cardiac/medical-surgical specialty
• Experience with telemetry/cardiac monitoring and basic ECG rhythm interpretation preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
• Successful completion of competency validation and annual requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Perform continuous cardiac/telemetry monitoring, recognize dysrhythmias, and escalate care per protocol
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol; monitor for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide tailored education on diagnosis, medications, and discharge planning
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families with compassionate, patient-centered care
• Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, coordinated care
• Participate in ongoing competency assessments, skills validation, and quality improvement initiatives
