- Unit: Main Operating Room (OR)
- Start Date: April 7, 2026
- End Date: July 7, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, Friday to Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 – 19:00), NO CALL
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2100/week
- Orientation: 3–4 days
- Charting System: Cerner (experience preferred)
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.
- Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience (2–3 years strongly preferred)
- Previous travel nursing experience required (Travel RN, Travel OR RN)
- Experience in a community hospital and Level II Trauma Center required
- LTAC experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Preferred surgical experience: Robotic XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, vascular, and trauma surgery
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to care for patients across the lifespan: neonates through geriatrics
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Note: Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in a busy operating room.
- Function as circulating nurse and/or scrub for a broad range of surgical procedures, including robotic and specialty cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and perioperative workflows using Cerner (or other EHRs as required).
- Adhere to infection control, universal protocol, and safety standards in the OR.
- Participate in orientation, unit-based education, and competency validation as required.
- Demonstrate adaptability and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level II Trauma Center environment.
