Job Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited college, university, or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Tennessee
• Valid driver's license
• English proficiency (read, write, speak)
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience preferred (acute care nurse experience preferred)
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background clearance (fingerprinting completed on first day)

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide comprehensive nursing care as an acute care RN, including executing provider orders and administering medications
• Assist in examinations and treatments and apply nursing and supervisory techniques in care, treatment, and referrals
• Attend sick calls with providers, prepare exam rooms and equipment, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Assess and triage new or ill patients, refer to emergency care as needed, and perform emergency procedures when indicated
• Supervise and guide licensed and unlicensed medical staff and support a collaborative healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and pharmacy laws
• Monitor inpatient hospitalizations, coordinate care with outside providers, and assist with audits and accreditation processes
• Provide patient education and health counseling individually and in group settings to support positive outcomes
• Inspect medical units for safety and security and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
