- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2160-$2270/week

- Unit: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) – 14 East, West, and 15 West (Progressive Care Unit / PCU)
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
- Start Date: April 20, 2026
- End Date: August 10, 2026
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week — PCU RN Night Shift
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics (oncology patients, BMT, CAR-T)
- Charting System: Epic (Epic EHR experience required)
Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / RN)
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing; at least 1 year of current specialty (BMT/oncology) experience required
- Active RN license (compact license accepted or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification required (chemotherapy nurse experience)
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic EHR)
- Ability to float to other Med-Surg Oncology units as needed
- Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or formal clinical leader)
Responsibilities (PCU/BMT RN & Oncology Nurse)
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to BMT and oncology patients in a mixed-acuity PCU/Med-Surg Oncology unit
- Administer chemotherapy and blood products following strict safety and ONS standards (chemotherapy nurse responsibilities)
- Monitor and interpret telemetry; recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and urgent cardiac events
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, implanted ports, and peripheral IVs
- Provide care for patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy
- Implement infection prevention protocols, neutropenic precautions, and fall prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social work
- Participate in rapid response situations and use critical thinking in urgent clinical scenarios
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication safety, and post-discharge care
- Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments in Epic electronic health record (Epic documentation)
