RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must meet state requirements)
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience (2 years highly desired)
• Ability to work night shifts and no holiday time off requests

RN Responsibilities — LTAC / Travel Nurse

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and goals
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs with a focus on education, functional recovery, and quality outcomes
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching starting at admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to care providers to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote and maintain personal and environmental safety according to hospital policies and LTAC protocols
• Contribute positively to team building and a collaborative, supportive work environment
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to LTAC nursing and travel nurse roles
