Job Details

• Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 — travel nursing opportunity in Western Massachusetts / Berkshires
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Med/Surg RN (Night Shift)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Size: 20–34 beds, depending on unit
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020–$2,130 per week

Job Requirements — Med/Surg RN / Travel Nurse Qualifications

• At least 2 years of current Medical-Surgical RN experience (required for travel nursing jobs)
• Telemetry experience required — Telemetry RN experience preferred
• Willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (must be in hand at profile upload)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Work history and current Medical Surgical skills checklist (within 1 year)
• 1 signed supervisory reference from within the past two years
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile (travelers residing within 50 miles of facility will not be considered)

Responsibilities — Clinical Duties for Med/Surg RN

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg unit as a Registered Nurse
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed to support clinical operations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other clinical support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to facility protocols
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and unit-based education
• Work every other weekend and holidays as required for travel nursing coverage
