Job Details

• Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative RN / Surgical Nurse
• Location: Great Barrington, MA 01230 — Berkshire County, Massachusetts (Western MA, Berkshires)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (6:45am – 3:15pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call: Yes (details TBD)
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required as needed
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2470–$2600/week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room RN (OR RN) experience — perioperative, scrub, and circulating experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Massachusetts RN license (compact license not accepted unless MA state rules apply)
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Operating Room skills checklist (current within 1 year)
• One supervisory signed reference from the past two years
• Permanent address must be included with application
• Own vehicle required for assignment
• All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted with application (no more than 3 days requested)

Responsibilities — Perioperative & Surgical Nursing

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room across thoracic surgery, surgical pathology, sub-acute, pediatric PACU, and pediatric OR cases
• Function as an OR RN (scrub and/or circulating) collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
• Assist with pre-operative assessment, intra-operative support, and post-operative care and handoffs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, surgical counts, and adhere to hospital policies and infection control protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage as needed
• Contribute to a positive patient experience in a community-focused hospital environment and promote high patient satisfaction
