- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250–$2,370
- Assignment Duration: 16 weeks (with potential to extend up to 32 weeks)

- Setting: Cardiac Progressive Care / Stepdown (Telemetry/Surgical focus) – Miller 3 PCU
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night); every weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Intermediate Care
- Recent Level 1 trauma experience within the last year required
- Cardiothoracic and vascular experience required; post-op Day 1 hearts (open and closed) experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Certifications required prior to start: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); PCCN preferred
- Willingness to float to related units as needed (telemetry, CVICU stepdown, surgical PCU)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (limited public transportation access)
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care (PCU) telemetry setting
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients, post-op cardiac cases, and complex cardiac surgical/vascular patients
- Provide post-op Day 1 cardiac care for open and closed procedures and support cardiothoracic surgery teams
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation, medication administration, and interdisciplinary care coordination
- Collaborate with cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia, and ancillary services for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to similar units as required to support staffing needs and maintain continuity of care
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competencies
- Adhere to facility protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
