Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820 - $1910 per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 12 hours (07:00 – 19:00), alternating 36/48 hour schedule
• Hours per Week: 36 (84 hours biweekly with 72 hour guarantee)
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel nurse
• On-Site Position
• Weekend Coverage: Required as needed (may include most weekends during contract)
• Orientation: 16 hours (modules completed during orientation)

Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med?Surg RN experience (progressive care or telemetry experience preferred)
• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred (Epic experience / electronic medical record experience)
• Valid RN license in-hand before start date (Wichita Falls, TX requirements)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must be agreeable to floating between Med?Surg and PCU units
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Patient ratio experience: 5:1 (days)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med?Surg units
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care
• Monitor and manage telemetry, cardiac drips, and vasoactive drips—experience as a telemetry RN is essential
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, ABGs, and participate in rapid response/code teams
• Administer blood products, follow IV insulin protocols, and perform phlebotomy
• Care for central lines, PICC lines, surgical drains, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
• Manage feeding tubes, wound care, and wound vacs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy
• Document patient care accurately using Epic charting system and maintain clear, timely charting
• Maintain isolation precautions and PPE standards in accordance with hospital policies
