• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) / sub-acute care

Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience
• Experience in LTAC, sub-acute, or similar post-acute settings preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience or flexibility for orientation and rapid onboarding is a plus

LTAC Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and ongoing clinical monitoring
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR in a timely manner
• Provide direct patient care and participate in rehabilitation plans focused on long-term acute care goals
• Initiate discharge planning and patient/caregiver teaching from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the clinical team to ensure continuity and patient safety
• Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and staff safety by following facility policies, infection control, and safety procedures
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation and demonstrate leadership on the unit
• Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and LTAC best practices
