- Location: Sioux City, IA (Zip 51104)
- Role: Cath Lab Tech / Cardiac Cath Lab Technician / Cardiovascular Technologist
- Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM); will float within discipline as needed
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-Call: 10–14 days/month (call hours 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM); weekend call shared
- Employment Type: Travel cath lab tech / travel healthcare
- Electronic Medical Record: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience preferred)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab / cardiac catheterization experience
- At least one completed travel assignment preferred (travel cath lab experience)
- Valid Iowa state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) OR RT/ARRT certification
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Current driver’s license and professional work history/resume
- Completed skills checklist within the past year; license and certification verification
- Copy of required certifications and one supervisory reference
- Taxable address must be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures (Cath Lab procedures)
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, Shockwave, Penumbra, EKOS, 3D mapping and stimulation systems
- Assist with vascular access, monitoring, hemodynamic assessments, and sterile technique during procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care in the Cath Lab and post-procedure areas
- Float within the same discipline across local hospital campuses as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC EMR and adhere to Cath Lab protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency and urgent cases as required
- Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and quality assurance procedures
