- Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) — Columbus travel nurse and Ohio nursing jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:30 – 18:30); flexibility required (shifts may range from 6:30am to 11:00pm with call)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,760–$2,900/week
- Employment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
- Unit: CVOR / Operating Room RN (Cardiac OR RN)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years overall Operating Room (OR) experience
- At least 2 years dedicated cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience (cardiac surgery nurse experience preferred)
- Minimum 1 year CVOR experience
- 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record (EPIC charting) for documentation
- Two professional references (one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub for cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and transplant surgeries (CABG, valve replacements, AAA repairs, TAVR, EVAR and more)
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex surgical procedures
- Participate in call rotation (approx. 30–40 hours of call per 4-week period for day shift; evening and night shifts may require weekend call)
- Use EPIC for charting, documentation, and handoff communication
- Maintain infection control, specimen handling, and universal protocol standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and ICU staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support specialized procedures and advanced intraoperative monitoring consistent with CVOR/Heart Hospital standards
