Travel Cath Lab RN Job Details

Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) / Cath Lab Nurse / Travel Nurse
Location: Olympia Fields, IL 60461 (Chicago area)
Assignment Duration: 20 weeks (April 6, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Shift Length: 8-hour days (40 hours/week)
Call Rotation: Required; participates in 24/7 call rotation
Employment Type: Travel, On-site (Cardiac Cath Lab RN travel assignment)
Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements & Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience (Cardiac Cath Lab RN, Cath Lab Nurse)
Experience in electrophysiology (EP) and interventional radiology preferred
Proven ability to manage procedural patients and respond to cath lab emergencies
Willingness and ability to participate in scheduled call rotations
Experience with EPIC EMR and accurate clinical documentation preferred

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for pre-, intra-, and post-procedural cardiac catheterization, EP, and interventional radiology patients
Assist with vascular access, monitoring hemodynamics, sedation, and support during complex procedures
Monitor patient status, recognize and respond to emergencies and complications
Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, technologists, radiology staff, and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document procedures, assessments, and interventions accurately in EPIC EMR
Participate in 24/7 call rotation and provide on-call support as scheduled
