Job Details

• Location: Flowood, MS 39232 (Jackson metropolitan area)
• Assignment Duration: 8 weeks (March 30, 2026 – May 25, 2026)
• Role: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), alternating weekends
• Schedule: 3/2 split (4 shifts one week, 3 shifts the next)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel / short-term nursing assignment

Qualifications / Requirements

• Active RN license (Mississippi or compact state) — eligible for travel nurse assignments
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN clinical experience
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred (documentation and charting)
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility (travel assignment eligibility)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Manage a typical patient ratio of 6:1 while maintaining patient safety and standards of care
• Perform patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and follow documentation best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and dress code; participate in shift handoffs
