Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent LTAC, telemetry, or acute care hospital experience (ventilator/trach experience preferred)
• Active Indiana RN license or multi-state compact RN license
• ACLS & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Demonstrated competency in ventilator care and tracheostomy management
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize care
• Experience supervising and delegating patient care tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous LTAC travel nurse experience
• Telemetry certification or recent telemetry unit work
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in long-term acute care settings

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to LTAC patients using the Nursing Process and evidence-based practices
• Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, complex wound care, and telemetry monitoring as indicated
• Demonstrate leadership and clinical judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Delegate and supervise nursing staff and clinical support personnel according to patient acuity and staff competencies
• Maintain and document clinical competencies through ongoing education and in-service training
• Ensure compliance with the state Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and established LTAC protocols
