Job Details & Requirements

• Employment Type: Travel Contract (travel nurse, travel nursing job)
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 4?week schedule
• Holiday: Every other holiday
• Call: 2 x 12?hour calls per 4?week schedule (one?hour response time)
• Scrubs: Purple scrubs provided
• Charting System: EPIC (Epic experience preferred)
• Education: BSN required
• Licensure: Active RN license in Wisconsin
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent OB / Labor & Delivery experience required
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS required; EFM certification preferred (AWHONN)
• Clinical Skills: Competency with electronic fetal monitoring (GE CPN/Novii), titrating drips (Pitocin, Magnesium, occasional insulin), Neopuff?T Piece experience preferred
• Flexibility: Ability to float to other departments as needed (RN/CNA helper when low census)

Core Responsibilities (L&D / OB RN)

• Provide independent, high?quality care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients in a Level 1 Obstetric and Nursery Care setting
• Perform triage, labor management, delivery support, recovery, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Titrate and manage medications/drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and occasional insulin
• Monitor and document maternal and fetal status using GE CPN/Novii fetal monitor and Epic charting
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and emergency medicine for imminent or high?risk deliveries
• Participate in call rotation; respond within one hour when on call
• Float to other units as needed for patient care support during low census
• Maintain compliance with AWHONN guidelines, hospital protocols, and departmental competencies
• Complete department?specific orientation (typically 1–2 days)

• Comfortable in fast?paced or emergent labor and delivery situations
• Detail?oriented with accurate documentation skills in Epic
• Willingness to work nights and participate in call/holiday rotation

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2470–$2600/week (including stipends; varies with experience and qualifications)
