- Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Travel Nurse
- Location: Albany, Georgia (Zip: 31701) — Georgia travel nursing job
- Contract Duration: 17 weeks (March 30, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 6:45 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed
- Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit (L&D, OB, perinatal)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 2 floor-specific shifts
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,980–$2,080/week
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D, OB, antepartum)
- Previous travel nursing experience required (travel nurse L&D preferred)
- Active RN license (state license required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Intermediate or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- Ability to float to postpartum/mother-baby unit as needed
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred; strong documentation skills required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to high-risk and routine OB patients, including antepartum and perinatal cases
- Assist with labor, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (C-sections), cerclages, and tubal procedures
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and intervene per protocol
- Perform newborn stabilization and collaborate on neonatal resuscitation with neonatologists and NICU staff
- Document patient care, progress, and interventions in Meditech EMR accurately and timely
- Collaborate with OB hospitalists, neonatologists, lactation consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support AWHONN staffing ratios, patient safety initiatives, and a baby-friendly hospital environment
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage and scheduled weekend shifts
