Travel Labor & Delivery RN – Albany, GA | 17-week travel nursing contract starting April 13, 2026. Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery travel nurse with 2+ years L&D RN experience, active Georgia or compact RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/NRP.

- Duration: 17 weeks
- Shift: 12 Hour Days
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 2 shifts (floor-specific)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980-$2080/week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience — strong OB RN background
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license in Georgia or compact state
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Intermediate or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
- Comfort with high-risk obstetrics (high-risk OB) and routine OB patients
- Ability to float to postpartum unit as needed (postpartum nursing experience preferred)
- Experience with OB Trace and Meditech or similar electronic charting systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit
- Assist with high-risk and routine OB cases, including antepartum care and deliveries
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: OB hospitalists, neonatologists, lactation consultants, and OR techs
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and OB Trace
- Document care accurately in Meditech charting system
- Support baby-friendly initiatives and provide lactation assistance as needed
- Participate in rotating holiday coverage and every other weekend shifts
- Float to postpartum unit when required to support patient care continuity
