- Unit: 4N Ortho-Neuro (Med/Surg)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: March 13, 2026
- End Date: June 12, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); weekends as scheduled
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2060
- Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license (West Virginia or compact) — Registered Nurse credentials required
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Experience with orthopedic patients (hips, knees, shoulders) and PCA pumps
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
- Unexpired copy of driver’s license required for submission
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative orthopedic and neuro patients (fractures, elective joint surgeries, back & neck procedures)
- Manage IV fluids, medications, and PCA pumps for pain control
- Perform patient assessments, vital signs, wound care, and post-op monitoring
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including Patient Care Techs and Respiratory Therapists
- Participate in unit orientation and function independently after initial training
- Adhere to facility policies, unit dress code, and safety protocols
- Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled; float to other Med/Surg units when required
