• Unit: 4N Ortho-Neuro (Med/Surg)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 13, 2026
• End Date: June 12, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); weekends as scheduled
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1950-$2060
• Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license (West Virginia or compact) — Registered Nurse credentials required
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Experience with orthopedic patients (hips, knees, shoulders) and PCA pumps
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Ability to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Unexpired copy of driver’s license required for submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative orthopedic and neuro patients (fractures, elective joint surgeries, back & neck procedures)
• Manage IV fluids, medications, and PCA pumps for pain control
• Perform patient assessments, vital signs, wound care, and post-op monitoring
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including Patient Care Techs and Respiratory Therapists
• Participate in unit orientation and function independently after initial training
• Adhere to facility policies, unit dress code, and safety protocols
• Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled; float to other Med/Surg units when required
