Med/Surg Tele RN (Travel Nurse) – Night shift in Columbus, OH 43210. Seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse with 2+ years high-acuity Med/Surg Tele experience, valid Ohio or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS, and Epic EHR experience. • Unit: Acute Care Oncology Float Pool – MS Tele (Med/Surg Telemetry, Oncology RN)
• Contract Duration: 16 weeks (Start: April 20, 2026 – End: August 10, 2026)
• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30) – Telemetry RN / Night Shift Travel Nurse
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1940-$2040
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel RN / Travel Nursing opportunity)
• Orientation: First week Mon–Fri dayshift, followed by bedside orientation
• Self-Scheduling: Enter your schedule requests; weekend coverage varies based on unit needs

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of high-acuity Med/Surg Tele experience within the last 3 years (Telemetry RN experience required)
• At least 1 year of current specialty experience required; oncology experience preferred (Oncology RN / Cancer care)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• Valid compact RN or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission (Ohio nursing jobs / compact license accepted)
• Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities (Med/Surg Tele / Telemetry RN)

• Float between Med/Surg and PCU Oncology units, including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with emphasis on infection prevention, patient safety, and fall prevention
• Manage typical patient ratios: PCU 1:3 (may be 1:4), MS/Tele ideally 1:4 (may be 1:5)
• Use GE telemetry monitors, Alaris infusion pumps, PCA pumps, Stryker beds, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and other advanced clinical equipment
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and blood products; manage cardiac drips (no titration), titrate insulin drips, access and manage ports
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with complex oncology diagnoses
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including IV Team, PT, RT, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, and Pharmacy
• Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to variable weekend coverage based on unit needs
