Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (near Ohio State University)
• Unit: 14 East, West and 15 West – Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) / MedSurg Oncology
• Contract Length: 16 weeks (April 20, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift – 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2160-$2270
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics (Oncology, BMT)
• Orientation: 72 hours

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current Medical-Surgical and Oncology RN experience within the last 3 years (progressive care or BMT preferred)
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission) — Ohio nursing jobs applicants encouraged
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (required)
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) / Epic charting experience
• 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

PCU / Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and blood products safely following ONS guidelines
• Manage central lines, ports, feeding tubes, and infusion therapies
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, respond to rapid response calls, and manage acute changes in patient condition
• Implement infection prevention and fall prevention protocols specific to immunocompromised patients
• Care for diagnoses including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, and case management
• Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
