Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of adult respiratory therapy experience (at least 1 year in hospital/ICU/trauma preferred)
- Recent hospital experience in a Level 1 trauma center (300+ beds) within the last year
- Experience in trauma and ICU settings required — strong critical care and mechanical ventilation skills
- Highly preferred: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); strong Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) candidates will be considered
- NBRC verification and current BLS certification required
- Arkansas state respiratory therapy license required at least 2 weeks prior to start date
- Must not be a current state employee and must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- Eligible to work nights and meet travel assignment requirements
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult patients in ICU, trauma, and acute care settings
- Manage mechanical ventilation, perform ventilator checks, and titrate therapies based on patient condition
- Perform arterial blood gas analysis, weaning protocols, and advanced respiratory procedures as needed
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams in trauma and ICU units
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
- Provide compassionate patient- and family-centered care in high-acuity environments
