- Setting: Critical Care Float Pool (ICU & PCU) — MICU, SICU, CCU, stepdown
- Contract Duration: 17 weeks (March 30, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (Night Shift ICU RN)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse opportunity
- Orientation: 16 hours
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in both ICU and PCU settings (required)
- Active Georgia RN license (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Strong assessment, critical care, and ventilator management skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Prior travel contract experience required (no first-time travelers)
- Comfortable with floating across units and flexible scheduling (including weekends/holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and PCU settings as an ICU RN
- Float between MICU, SICU, CCU, and stepdown units per staffing needs
- Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized critical care nursing plans
- Administer and titrate standard ICU drips, manage vasoactive infusions, and care for ventilated patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals
- Participate in patient rounds, rapid response, and handoffs; communicate clinical changes effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR and comply with hospital policies and critical care protocols
