Qualifications / Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in both ICU and PCU settings (required)
  • Active Georgia RN license (required)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
  • Strong assessment, critical care, and ventilator management skills
  • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
  • Prior travel contract experience required (no first-time travelers)
  • Comfortable with floating across units and flexible scheduling (including weekends/holidays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and PCU settings as an ICU RN
  • Float between MICU, SICU, CCU, and stepdown units per staffing needs
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized critical care nursing plans
  • Administer and titrate standard ICU drips, manage vasoactive infusions, and care for ventilated patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals
  • Participate in patient rounds, rapid response, and handoffs; communicate clinical changes effectively
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR and comply with hospital policies and critical care protocols
