• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 per week (based on experience and qualifications)

Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 (Peoria, Illinois; Central Illinois nursing jobs)
• Role: Registered Nurse, Telemetry RN, Cardiac RN (Cardio Thoracic Unit)
• Setting: Acute Care – Cardio Thoracic Unit (Telemetry)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (1900–0730)
• Hours: 36 hours per week, guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: EPIC (Epic experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or Illinois RN application in process
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care telemetry or cardio thoracic nursing experience
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and medication titration (cardiac drips)
• Comfortable floating to other general medical units as needed
• Negative drug screen required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and thoracic patients (MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD, post-lung surgery)
• Monitor and interpret EKGs; titrate cardiac drips (primarily Cardizem and heparin)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including charge nurses, house supervisors, respiratory therapists, and patient care techs
• Utilize respiratory support equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, heated high flow) when indicated
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and adhere to unit policies
• Participate in holiday, night, and weekend rotations as required
