Interventional Radiology Nurse Job Details

• Location: Peoria, IL (61637) — Peoria, Illinois; Central Illinois travel nursing job
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Position: Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) / Travel Nurse
• Shift: 4 days/week, 10-hour day shifts (between 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM); includes call requirements
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,820 - $2,970 per week
• Care Setting: Acute care — Interventional Radiology (IR), procedural nursing
• Charting System: EPIC
• Dress Code: Surgical scrubs provided

Travel IR RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in ED, ICU, or procedural nursing (Interventional Radiology or acute care experience preferred)
• Active Illinois RN license (or application in process) — Illinois nursing jobs, RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with EKG interpretation and drip titration
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Negative drug screen required

Interventional Radiology Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide intraprocedural 1:1 nursing care and phase 2 recovery (up to 1:4 ratio) for patients undergoing IR procedures
• Assist with procedures including GI bleeds, stroke interventions, biopsies, central line placements, drains, and vascular procedures
• Interpret EKGs and manage medication drips and titrations as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—IR techs, charge RN, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in primary and secondary call rotation (approx. 6–8 shifts in 6 weeks, including weekends and holidays)
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and Phillips monitors
