• Unit: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – Night Shift
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 48 hours

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience post-graduation
• Experience in Stepdown, ICU, or LTAC settings (critical care or complex care experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans for LTAC patients
• Provide skilled critical/complex care typical of LTAC and stepdown populations during night shifts
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and orientees; delegate appropriately
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient rehabilitation efforts with a focus on education, discharge planning, and quality outcomes
• Communicate changes in patient status to interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork to maintain a positive, efficient unit environment
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and evidence-based practice
• Perform other duties as assigned to support unit operations
