Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, MA (Cape Cod) — Barnstable County, Massachusetts
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (guaranteed)
- Shift: 8-hour shifts; variable start times (07:00–15:30, 08:00–16:30, 09:00–17:30)
- On-Call: Required in rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Setting: Hospital Cath Lab — interventional cardiology and electrophysiology (EP)
- Employment Type: Travel technologist / travel healthcare assignment
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,830–$3,040 per week
Qualifications – Cath Lab Tech / EP Tech
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, Cath Lab Tech, or Special Procedures Technologist
- Electrophysiology (EP Tech) experience required
- Associate’s degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology OR completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Cardiac Interventional (CI) OR Vascular Interventional (VI) certification OR ARRT registration
- Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license, if applicable
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Intra-aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) course completion
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Successful passage of Basic Arrhythmia Challenge Exam or course within 12 months of accepting the position
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures: scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters
- Operate interventional cardiology and electrophysiology equipment and devices during procedures
- Provide patient care for physical and psychological needs before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation
- Transfer and position patients onto procedure tables, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Set up sterile trays, manage sterile technique, and handle post-procedure cleaning and disposal
- Assist with administration and monitoring of contrast media during imaging procedures
- Maintain departmental inventory and ensure availability of interventional supplies
- Manage responsibilities for the Electrophysiology (EP) program, including monitoring and documentation
- Perform routine safety checks and preventative maintenance on cath lab and EP equipment
- Participate in professional development and continuing education to maintain certifications and clinical skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned in a hospital cath lab setting
