• Location: Alpena, MI 49707 (Alpena, Michigan — Michigan physical therapy jobs)
• Setting: Outpatient Rehabilitation Services / Outpatient physical therapy
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (8 to 10-hour day shifts)
• Weekend: One Sunday per month
• Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist / Travel PT
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,210 - $2,380/week

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist (PT)
• Pediatric physical therapy experience required
• Acute care experience highly preferred
• Active Michigan PT license (LARA and/or verified in Nursys) with status Active
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to outpatient PT specialty
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient function using formal and informal testing to determine musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
• Develop goal-specific treatment plans and therapeutic interventions based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Document and submit written treatment plans to be included in the plan of care, authorized and coordinated with physicians
• Update plan of care and treatment goals as patient status changes
• Plan frequency and duration-specific treatment schedules, coordinating with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnosis, prognosis, alternatives, and rationale for treatment
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and Aides and supervise delegated tasks
• Maintain accurate documentation and therapy notes in the electronic health record (EHR) consistent with outpatient rehab standards
