• Role: Registered Nurse (RN), Labor & Delivery / Acute Care, Travel Nurse
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts; 36 hours/week (3 x 12-hour shifts). Every third weekend; blocked scheduling may be accommodated
• Employment Type: Travel assignment (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2700–$2840/week

Required Qualifications (Nursing)

• Current New York State RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) and high-risk OB
• Operating Room (OR) experience preferred
• Proficient in performing vaginal exams and managing high-risk obstetric cases
• Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), FM (Fetal Monitoring), ACLS, and BLS required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN/BSN)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and specialty nursing certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities (Registered Nurse / L&D Nurse)

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for labor & delivery and acute OB patients
• Serve as primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment; function as a maternity nurse and clinical leader on shift
• Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Safely administer medications and demonstrate working knowledge of pharmacology relevant to OB/L&D
• Monitor fetal heart tracings and manage acute changes in maternal or fetal status using FM skills
• Support productivity goals, effective resource utilization, and adherence to nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements
• Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, quality improvement projects, and evidence-based practice integration
• Mentor new staff and students; promote a safe, supportive learning environment
• Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and unit operations
