Job Details

• Location: Sylva, NC 28779 (Jackson County, Western North Carolina)
• Travel Nursing Job Type: 13-week travel contract (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Unit / Setting: Medical-Surgical Unit — 24-bed Med/Surg
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Medical-Surgical nurse staffing)
• Weekend Schedule: Varies (every other or every 3rd weekend)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 - $1,800 per week

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (state of practice)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
• Medical-Surgical competencies and clinical proficiency
• Ability to float based on unit rotation

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse for adult and geriatric patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in a 24-bed Med/Surg unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient information accurately using Paragon EHR (electronic health record)
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Participate in unit rotations and float to other areas as needed
