Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years recent Endoscopy RN experience (pre-procedure, intra-procedure, post-procedure)
- Active DC RN license required (pending status accepted at application; license in hand before start)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Comfortable with IV insertion/maintenance, medication administration, and monitoring
- Ability to float within the GI Suite per competency
- Experience in inpatient settings; outpatient endoscopy center / ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
- Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult patient populations
- First-time travelers accepted if experienced in Endoscopy
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in Pre-op, Intra-procedural, and PACU settings for endoscopic procedures
- Monitor and assess patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
- Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and accurately document interventions
- Float within the GI Suite as needed based on competency and unit staffing
- Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations as scheduled
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, anesthesia) to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility and regulatory protocols
