Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years recent Endoscopy RN experience (pre-procedure, intra-procedure, post-procedure)
  • Active DC RN license required (pending status accepted at application; license in hand before start)
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Comfortable with IV insertion/maintenance, medication administration, and monitoring
  • Ability to float within the GI Suite per competency
  • Experience in inpatient settings; outpatient endoscopy center / ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
  • Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult patient populations
  • First-time travelers accepted if experienced in Endoscopy

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in Pre-op, Intra-procedural, and PACU settings for endoscopic procedures
  • Monitor and assess patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
  • Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and accurately document interventions
  • Float within the GI Suite as needed based on competency and unit staffing
  • Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations as scheduled
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, anesthesia) to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility and regulatory protocols
