• Unit: ICU2 - RN (Critical Care)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 14, 2026 – July 14, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:30 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820-$1910/week
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (travel nursing job / travel RN)
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Facility: Community hospital with interdisciplinary support (respiratory, pharmacy, PT)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience (critical care RN)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR
• Completion of EKG course (provided if needed)
• 6 hours of Stroke education (provided if needed)
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Must be willing to float to MS/Tele and ER for critical care holds
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (travel nurse requirement)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to ICU patients across a variety of diagnoses
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure as a critical care RN
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac drips, and administer vasoactive medications
• Perform neuro and surgical ICU procedures including EVD care, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, post-craniotomy care, and stroke management
• Care for ventilated patients, including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and procedural sedation
• Float to MS/Tele and ER as needed to support patient care
• Maintain infection prevention, isolation precautions, and safe critical care practices
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
