- Unit: ICU2 - RN (Critical Care)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 14, 2026 – July 14, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18:30 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820-$1910/week
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse (travel nursing job / travel RN)
- Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Facility: Community hospital with interdisciplinary support (respiratory, pharmacy, PT)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience (critical care RN)
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current RN license
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR
- Completion of EKG course (provided if needed)
- 6 hours of Stroke education (provided if needed)
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Must be willing to float to MS/Tele and ER for critical care holds
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (travel nurse requirement)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to ICU patients across a variety of diagnoses
- Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure as a critical care RN
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac drips, and administer vasoactive medications
- Perform neuro and surgical ICU procedures including EVD care, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, post-craniotomy care, and stroke management
- Care for ventilated patients, including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
- Administer blood products, emergency medications, and procedural sedation
- Float to MS/Tele and ER as needed to support patient care
- Maintain infection prevention, isolation precautions, and safe critical care practices
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
