Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week travel nurse assignment in Rosedale, MD (Baltimore area) starting April 28, 2026. Join our medical-surgical telemetry team delivering high-quality acute care for adults and geriatric patients.

- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1710-$1800
- Location: Rosedale, MD 21237 (Baltimore area) — Maryland nursing jobs / travel nurse opportunity
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: April 28, 2026
- End Date: July 28, 2026
- Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (06:20 - 19:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays and other holidays during contract
- Patient Ratio: 1:5 or 1:6 (typical medical-surgical/telemetry ratios)
- Unit: 40101-20255 T1 Med/Tele (48 beds, telemetry capability)
- Scrubs: Navy Blue (not provided)
- Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (clinical telemetry/medical-surgical experience)
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required (travel nurse experience preferred)
- Active RN license: Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license (multi-state)
- BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
- Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
- Comfortable providing gender-affirming care when needed (experience preferred, not required)
- Cerner electronic health record (EHR) charting experience preferred
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) — aligns with hospital policy for Maryland nursing jobs
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including post-operative and complex medical diagnoses
- Continuous telemetry monitoring and interpretation; identify and manage dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response/code situations
- Perform central line and PICC care, IV starts/maintenance, phlebotomy, and medication administration (including blood products)
- Support hemodialysis patients with pre- and post-dialysis care and management of renal failure patients
- Care for patients with surgical drains, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomies, and enteral feeding tubes
- Practice strict isolation precautions and perform wound care, including wound vac management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
- Float as needed to units of equivalent or lower acuity to support staffing needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (preferred: Cerner) and follow organizational policies and procedures
