Med/Surg Telemetry RN (Travel Nurse) — 13-week night contract in Show Low, AZ (White Mountains). 12-hour nights, 36 hours/week guaranteed. Job Details

• Location: Show Low, AZ — White Mountains region (Arizona nursing jobs, Show Low healthcare)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Unit: 24-bed Med/Surg with Telemetry capability (heavy telemetry focus)
• Patient Population: Adults (no pediatric assignments for travelers)
• Support Staff: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, PCTs
• EMR: Sunrise Allscripts
• Scrub Policy: Any color except all black (scrubs not provided)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910-$2010

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (Medical-Surgical Tele RN)
• Strong neuro and cardiac assessment and monitoring skills
• Active RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
• Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to float to all Med/Surg units and to ICU for MS overflow patients
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and use of Sunrise Allscripts EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and manage adult patients with neuro and cardiac conditions using telemetry
• Initiate and manage acute interventions per unit protocols; escalate to hospitalists and critical care as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy (24/7 support)
• Document interventions and assessments accurately in Sunrise Allscripts EMR
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:6 on nights, adjusted for patient acuity
• Participate in unit rounds, safety initiatives, and support positive patient and family experiences
• Float to other Med/Surg units or ICU for overflow when required
