Travel IR Tech Job Details
- Location: Saint Louis, MO 63104 (St. Louis healthcare jobs, Missouri imaging technologist)
- Position: Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist / IR Tech (ARRT R)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40 (36 hours/week guaranteed)
- Call Rotation: Average of 10 days/month, including weekends
- Scrubs: Provided
- Parking: Onsite, no fee
Required Qualifications – Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience in hospital or academic medical center settings
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU patient populations
- Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
- Proficiency with PACS, C-Arm fluoroscopy, contrast administration, and image-guided biopsies
- Hands-on experience deploying pushable/detachable coils, microcatheters, guidewires, snare kits, and injector systems (ACIST preferred)
- Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy/nephrogram, peripheral interventions, drainages, vascular and neuro studies, venous access, GU and abdomen/pelvis procedures
- Ability to complete OSHA respirator clearance and fit testing (must be clean-shaven for mask seal)
- Travelers must reside more than 70 miles from the facility (travel technologist requirement)
Key Responsibilities – IR Tech
- Perform comprehensive interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, vascular access, biopsies, drainages, and neurovascular studies
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging equipment (GE, Siemens, C-Arm) and PACS systems
- Assist physicians with contrast administration, catheter and wire selection, and device deployment
- Document procedures and patient care accurately using Epic EHR
- Participate in an assigned call rotation (average 10 days/month) and respond to emergent IR cases
- Collaborate with nurses, radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control, radiation safety, and patient safety standards
- Provide compassionate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2600–$2790/week
