• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site (CVOR / Operating Room)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Schedule: 2x12-hour shifts (10:30am–11:00pm), 2x8-hour shifts (2:30pm–11:00pm) per week
• Call Requirement: 30–40 hours of call per 4-week period; evening shift includes weekend call (~24 hours per 4 weeks)
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit: CVOR / Operating Room (7 beds/rooms) — cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, transplant
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,480–$2,610

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years overall OR experience, including at least 2 years caring for cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgical patients
• At least 1 year of dedicated CVOR experience (Cardiovascular OR nurse preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission) — Ohio nursing license or compact RN
• Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting system experience required (EPIC experience preferred)
• Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative and cardiovascular care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and transplant surgeries in the CVOR
• Assist with major procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, AAA repairs, TAVR, EVAR, and other advanced surgical interventions
• Support sterile technique, specimen labeling, universal protocol procedures, and stringent infection control practices
• Adhere to laser and radiation safety protocols and advanced operating room safety standards
• Participate in scheduled call coverage, including weekend and evening shifts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, anesthesiology, perfusion, ICU) to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using the EPIC charting system
