Job Details

• Location: Sumter, SC (Zip: 29150) — Travel Nurse opportunity in South Carolina
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• End Date: July 13, 2026
• Shift: Monday through Friday, Day Shift
• Shift Hours: 8-hour days (7:00am – 3:30pm or 8:00am – 4:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• No weekends and no call required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,270 - $2,390 per week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cath Lab / cardiac catheterization setting
• Previous charge experience preferred (Cath Lab charge nurse)
• Experience with Epic EMR (minimum 1 year required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Experience with patient ratios up to 2:1
• Willingness to float to other qualified units as needed

Responsibilities — Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

• Provide peri-procedural care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Support pre- and post-procedure patient care in the cath lab and holding area, including patient assessment and education
• Assist with and perform specialized procedures: IABP placement/removal, Impella support, pacemaker/AICD insertion and programming, lead extraction/removal, Swan-Ganz monitoring, tilt table studies, and vascular closure systems
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, reversal agents, emergency medications, thrombolytics, and blood products
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, monitor procedural sedation, perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring
• Circulate cases, manage IV infusion pumps, and support ventilator management and hypothermia protocols when required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure safe patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR and follow institutional policies and cath lab protocols
