Job Details

• Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (27609) — Raleigh ultrasound jobs / North Carolina sonography jobs
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 21, 2026 – July 21, 2026)
• Role: Travel Ultrasound Tech / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Obstetric)
• Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Equipment: GE Voluson E10, GE ViewPoint; Epic charting system (documentation experience preferred)
• Orientation: Bi-weekly, 36 hours
• Health Requirements: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Tech in a hospital or maternal fetal medicine (MFM) setting
• ARDMS OB/GYN (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with GE ultrasound equipment (Voluson series preferred)
• Epic charting system experience preferred for accurate prenatal documentation
• Compact state license or valid North Carolina license in hand (must meet state requirements)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions accepted)
• One supervisory reference within the last year

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-risk OB and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasounds, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester prenatal ultrasound exams
• Conduct fetal anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiography screening, nuchal translucency measurements, amniotic fluid index assessments, and umbilical artery/cord Doppler studies
• Provide detailed fetal imaging and documentation for diagnosis and care coordination
• Assist with ultrasound-guided invasive procedures, such as amniocentesis and biopsy/FNA
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary radiology and MFM teams to support patient management and follow-up
• Document findings accurately in Epic and adhere to hospital protocols and compliance modules
• Deliver compassionate patient- and family-centered care during prenatal testing and procedures
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing competency requirements
