• Travel / Coverage Area: Outreach clinics in Gallup, Farmington, and Santa Fe — New Mexico travel sonographer job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x12-hour (05:15 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890–$2,030 per week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of sonographer experience with prior travel or outreach experience preferred
• ARDMS OB/GYN and ARDMS FE (Fetal Echo) certification required
• ARDMS (general) certification and current NM State Sonography License
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system
• Valid driver’s license; non-local candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of Albuquerque
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
• Ability to work independently in community clinics and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Completion of safe driving module during orientation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women’s imaging including fetal anatomical surveys, fetal echo studies, and maternal-fetal medicine procedures
• Perform both routine and high-risk OB/GYN sonography with attention to image quality and diagnostic accuracy
• Operate GE E22, GE E10, and GE S10 ultrasound machines and maintain equipment readiness
• Document imaging findings and patient information accurately in Cerner
• Travel daily with the outreach team to Gallup, Farmington, and Santa Fe clinics, ensuring timely setup and patient flow
• Drive outreach van as scheduled and ensure safe transport of team members and sensitive equipment
• Coordinate with interpretation services, maternal-fetal specialists, and local clinic staff to optimize patient care
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and sonography best practices
• Provide compassionate patient-centered care to diverse populations across New Mexico
