Job Details
- Location: Augusta, GA 30909 (Augusta, Georgia – Richmond County)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Dietitian, On-site Hospital Dietitian
- Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690 – $1,820
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
- Unit: Multiple units including Medical-Surgical and Critical Care
- Documentation System: Meditech (electronic charting)
- Dress Code: Business casual or Caribbean blue scrubs
- Scheduling: Flexible scheduling available
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a clinical dietitian (critical care experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited dietetic program
- Registered Dietitian credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Active medical license or authorization to practice in the state of Georgia
- Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) preferred
- Strong time management, communication, and flexibility for fast-paced hospital care
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, diagnosis, and individualized care plans for hospitalized patients, including adults in critical care
- Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition plans and monitor tolerance and outcomes (critical care nutrition)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and rehab teams to optimize patient recovery
- Document interventions and progress using Meditech and communicate care plans to the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in nutrition support rounds and contribute to care for patients in the burn center
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, discharge nutrition plans, and follow-up resources
