• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 – $1,970
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Johnson County / Kansas City metro area)
• Setting: Telemetry Unit (4N Cardiac) — Cardiac telemetry nursing job
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 12, 2026 – July 12, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Requirements: Memorial Day and July 4th
• Orientation: Comprehensive multi-day orientation including Epic EMR training

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience required (cardiac telemetry or step-down preferred)
• Clinical experience with TR Bands post-procedure and post-cardiac cath care
• Experience administering and titrating cardiac drips (Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and managing Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
• Active Kansas RN license (or compact RN eligible as applicable)
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Ability to float to all acute care units as needed; flexible telemetry nurse skills
• Epic EMR experience preferred (Epic training provided during orientation)
• Compliance with nicotine-free facility policy
• New graduates not eligible for this travel nurse telemetry role

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and assess cardiac telemetry patients, responding promptly to rhythm changes and clinical deterioration
• Administer, titrate, and monitor cardiac drips and medications per orders and unit protocols
• Provide post-procedure care for patients with TR Bands and support cath lab follow-up
• Initiate and closely monitor Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy as part of telemetry medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, pharmacy, respiratory therapy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other acute care units as needed and support staffing flexibility across the facility
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations according to unit staffing requirements
• Complete comprehensive orientation, ongoing training, and Epic EMR documentation as scheduled
