• Role: Clinical Nurse Supervisor / Charge Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Shift: Night Shift, Full-time (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00p–7:00a), every other weekend & holidays
• Hours per Week: 36

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (NYS RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 3 years of acute care RN experience (hospital-based)
• At least 1 year of critical care experience—Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of leadership/charge nurse or supervisory experience
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple clinical events and manage patient acuity effectively
• Experience with staffing plans, resource allocation, and emergency clinical escalation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
• Coordinate clinical activities across the acute care setting, ensuring continuity of care for patients of all ages
• Support and mentor bedside nurses—serve as charge nurse and clinical resource
• Monitor and adjust staffing levels based on patient acuity, census, and hospital guidelines
• Respond to and support management of emergency clinical and administrative situations
• Facilitate competency assessment, staff development, and performance coaching
• Participate in nursing leadership committees, quality improvement, and problem-solving initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and evidence-based protocols
• Promote effective communication, interdisciplinary collaboration, and positive patient/family experience
• Apply sound decision-making to balance patient care needs with available staffing and resources
