Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,590 – $1,710
• Location: Wailuku, HI 96793 – Maui, Hawaii (local housing/commute resources may be available)
• Assignment Duration: 12 weeks (Start: April 18, 2026; End: July 11, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (06:00 AM to 06:00 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist / Travel RT

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based experience as a Respiratory Therapist (acute care experience preferred)
• Active Hawaii Respiratory Therapist License (RRT preferred)
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Proven skills in ventilator management, airway care, and emergency response
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to hospitalized patients, including ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ABG sampling, aerosol treatments, airway management, and secretion clearance
• Monitor patient progress, maintain accurate charting in electronic medical records, and report clinical changes promptly
• Support emergency airway stabilization, code response, and assist with intubation as needed
• Educate patients and families on respiratory disease management, home oxygen, and equipment use
