- Travel Nurse Pay (Weekly Estimated): $2,000 - $2,100
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 40
- Shift: 10-hour days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

- Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) — CVOR RN / CVOR Registered Nurse
- Number of ORs: 5 (3 open, 2 hybrid)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (cardiovascular surgical patients)
- Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (Texas or compact state) — Registered Nurse required
- Minimum 1 year recent CVOR experience; strong cardiovascular operating room skills preferred
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- CNOR certification preferred (cardiovascular OR nursing credential)
- Clinical experience with CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic replacements, vascular procedures, and heart transplants
- Ability to respond to on-call shifts within 45 minutes; travel nurse on-call expectations
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR and accurate perioperative documentation
Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients as a CVOR RN
- Assist with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (CABG, valve replacements, aortic surgery, transplant)
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary OR teams, including CSTs, ATs, and PCTs
- Maintain strict adherence to surgical safety, sterile technique, and infection control protocols
- Document patient care and perioperative events accurately in Meditech
- Participate in on-call coverage for nights and weekends as needed
- Float to Spine OR or other surgical suites as required
