• Position: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) / Travel RN
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,120 – $3,290
• Location: Milwaukee, WI 53227 (Milwaukee healthcare jobs / Wisconsin nursing jobs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts (Flexible start: 0700, 0730, or 0800)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Rotation: Every 6th weekend
• On Call: One weeknight call shift per week; 1 weekend every 6th weekend (30-min response time)

Required Qualifications (Interventional Radiology Nurse / Travel RN)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology (IR RN) experience
• Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact state (Wisconsin travel nurse candidates welcome)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with line placements, drains, CT/US-guided biopsies, angiography, carotid stenting, EVAR/AAA repair, and vascular interventions
• Comfortable with 1:1 patient ratios in IR and peri-procedural critical care nursing
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Key Responsibilities (Interventional Radiology Nurse)

• Provide peri-procedural care for IR patients including prep, sedation medication administration, monitoring, and recovery
• Circulate and assist during interventional procedures (angiography, embolization, stent placement, biopsies)
• Perform inpatient transport and safe handoff procedures to/from IR and other units
• Manage orders, schedule IR procedures, and coordinate discharge planning and follow-up calls
• Collaborate closely with IR techs, IR Aides/Transporters, Charge RN/Lead Tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and management
• Participate in orientation and complete at least one shadow shift to learn unit flow and equipment (EPIC workflow)
