Travel Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN) – 13-week travel nurse contract in Milwaukee, WI (53227). Join a Level IV Trauma Center & Level III NICU team delivering advanced interventional radiology and peri-procedural care.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,120 - $3,290 (travel nurse pay)

- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
- Position: Travel Interventional Radiology RN / IR RN (travel nurse)
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (flexible start: 0700, 0730, or 0800)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Rotation: Every 6th weekend
- On-Call: One weeknight call shift per week, 1 weekend every 6th weekend (30-minute response time)

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent Interventional Radiology nursing (IR RN) experience required
- Current, active RN license in Wisconsin (compact license accepted if valid in WI)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with transport/inpatient handoff, sedation medication administration & monitoring, pre/post procedure recovery
- Skills in circulating, scheduling/coordination of orders, discharge follow-up calls, and patient education
- Comfortable with flexible scheduling and on-call responsibilities typical for travel nurses
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and physiologic monitoring equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for IR procedures including line placements, drains, image-guided biopsies, angiography, carotid stents, vascular work, and AAA repair
- Maintain appropriate patient ratios (1:1) in IR holding rooms and procedure suites
- Coordinate and schedule orders, perform pre-/post-procedure recoveries, and circulate during procedures
- Administer and titrate sedation medications, monitor patient responses and airway status
- Conduct discharge follow-up calls and ensure smooth patient transitions to the floor or home
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members: IR aides/transporters, charge RN/lead tech, management, respiratory therapy, and hospitalists
- Document care and workflow in EPIC and utilize Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis for medication safety
