Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Travel Nurse assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. 13-week contract; NRP, C?EFM, BLS required.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00); 3 shifts per week
• Unit: Family Services – Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Gyn/Pedi
• Number of Beds: 19
• Patient Ratios: L&D 1-2:1, Postpartum 3:1, Gyn/Pedi 3-4:1
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect (experience with Meditech a plus)
• Team Environment: Collaborative multidisciplinary team – nurses, unit coordinators, manager & director
• Scrubs Provided

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience (L&D nurse or obstetric nurse)
• Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation), C?EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring), BLS
• Nursery/NICU experience is a plus (neonatal experience preferred)
• Optional certifications: STABLE, PALS
• Ability to float to other units as needed (flexible travel nurse expected to support unit needs)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Gyn/Pedi units as an L&D Registered Nurse
• Monitor and assess mothers and newborns using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM/C?EFM) and other clinical equipment
• Assist with procedures including external versions, circumcisions, and C-sections; support perioperative care when needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect (electronic charting)
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Enhance patient experience through supportive services such as doulas and massage therapy where available
