Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — hospital or acute care experience preferred
  • Active NBRC certification (in hand)
  • Active BLS (AHA) certification (in hand)
  • Active Ohio Respiratory Care license (must be active and in hand at time of submission)
  • Must be nicotine-free (facility is smoke-free)
  • Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
  • Two professional references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty (from assignments worked in the past 12 months)
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • All required certifications and credentials must be submitted with application

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care and clinical support to adult and/or pediatric patients in a hospital setting
  • Perform respiratory diagnostics and neurodiagnostics as needed (ventilator management, ABGs, airway care)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and charting in accordance with hospital policy
  • Participate in orientation, competency assessments, and continuing education modules
  • May float to other Cleveland Clinic facilities and support staffing needs across sites
  • Work required weekends and follow established shift schedules
