Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190 - $2,360
- Location: Salem, OR (Willamette Valley) — zip code 97301
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 8, 2026 – September 7, 2026)
- Shift: 4 x 10-hour days (Day shifts: 06:45–17:15 or 08:15–18:45)
- On Call: Rotating on-call coverage (~7 days/month, typically low volume)
- Employment Type: Travel, On-site; travel nuclear medicine job
Required Qualifications – Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field preferred
- Pending Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license accepted; must obtain per state requirements
- Registration with NMTCB or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine required (must obtain within 6 months if pending)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- Basic Cardiac Monitoring certification required within 4 months of hire
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required
- Proven ability to operate gamma cameras, probes, survey meters, and radiopharmacy equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in compliance with hospital policies and radiation safety protocols
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain accurate dose records
- Provide patient care and education for adult and geriatric populations
- Document exams and clinical findings in Epic and other hospital systems
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage and respond to urgent studies as needed
- Collaborate closely with Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response teams, and Transportation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and quality-assure nuclear medicine equipment
- Float to affiliate hospitals as needed, including West Valley Hospital (~15 minutes)
